Ta-da! Finally put the finishing touches on this large commission. Included in the piece are references to things that are meaningful to the patron: the beach, Pittsburg, a favorite line from a song and names of close family members. Each side panel represents her two boys who will be able to take their painting with them when they leave home in the future. Each panel stands alone as well as being part of the whole - much like the roles we play as part of a family.

  1. I LOVE it! I think the idea of a painting that parts of can go with the boys when they are grown is so cool and special. (though if it was me, I'd likely get all weepy seeing those empty places on either side when it happens!)
